SCR950 midpipe details, potential pricing, and gauging interest

I've been designing a stainless steel midpipe that allows you to run any muffler designed for 1 3/4" pipes. (Hundreds of options on eBay, most well under $100). I've purchased all the tooling necessary, from hydraulic pipe swaggers to special hole saws and a setup for welding stainless steel. Even down to the buffing wheels. I'm building a few more prototypes in the next couple weeks, and will then be setting pricing and taking orders.

The midpipe is 1 3/4" outer diameter, with a swagged end to fit over the OEM header (without the OEM exhaust gasket). The midpipe will clamp on the header via a stainless allen bolt. Midpipe has a bung for the OEM O2 sensor, so this is 100% plug and play. The bend is 22.5 degrees. (Stock is roughly 13 degrees)

I'm debating a price between $75 and $85 for the midpipe in a brushed finish. I'm also thinking of offering a mirror polished version for an extra $20.

What kind of interest is there for this product? How many would buy this, and at what price?

I've attached a pic of my personal bike with the first prototype, and with a SuperTrapp Elite muffler mounted to the midpipe.

Charles.

Loud pipes don't save lives, they just piss off voters.

In surprised to not see a lot of responses, but I'll play. I'd vote for the brushed finish as it's more consistent with other finishes on the bike.

Okay, I kinda stalled on this from lack of interest, but I'll go ahead and make some more prototypes.

I sold out too and bought the Akrapovic. Very nice pipe - sounds good on long trips (no droning)
