If you haven't heard of him before, look for "Mustie 1" on youtube, his latest project is a ct175.
Mate had a DT175MX back when i was 17ish... with an aftermarket pipe on, think i was the only other person in the village who liked the sound of it!

Okay, but... the XT is like a half-brother to all those others. Same eyes, different nose. Or I'm wayyy off and you and Paul here are going to be at each other's throats. Looking forward to it either way

Thanks for the YouTube tip on the CT project. Since you like the sound of 2-strokes, let me share a link with you. Nothing sounds better than a triple set of expansion chambers on a Kawi H2. Enjoy!

Must be a generational thing - does nothing for me......sounds like my dads old lawnmower, or a hedge trimmer......

Ben

“Do you understand half the **** he says?” “No, but I know what he means”.

Definitely a generational thing because when I was younger my dad's mower sounded nothing like a 2-stroke triple and the hedge trimmer went clip clip clip.

mmmm, don't know, but it's certainly one way to go, maybe its because it's in a chopper!!
Now, for another great sound from my youth, another friend had an RD400DX, ex-race bike, on the road, still with its competition expansion chambers fitted.
And another friend, yes, they had all the "good bikes", mine were all a bit boring! had a CB750FA, with, I think a lazer(??) pipe on, used to love that sound, shame modern pipes have different sounds.
