Black painted wheels

Hi all.

Appears to me the early models had bare alloy rims while the later ones are finished in black.
Personally I prefer bare metal, does anyone know if the black finish can be removed easily?

I think the difference was US (alloy) vs Euro (black). No idea if it could be removed tho - presume so.

AAAAARRRGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't you dare strip those rims! Personally, I think the black rims look far better than the bare alloy. I'm sure that the shipping is cost prohibitive, but I would trade my alloy rims for your black rims in a heartbeat. Just saying...... Jevers

Personal preference I guess

Yes, if it wasn't so expensive I might have considered your offer!

Hmmm, yet another reason to crate up the Bonnie AND the SCR. You see, Mence, SCRBEN has graciously offered to fly me and my '79 Bonneville across the pond just so he can have a look at her first hand!😜 Heck, I might even let him take her for a ride since he's flying the Yammie over too! I'm sure he wouldn't mind if I brought a properly customized SCR with. COVID19 BE DAMNED!☠

Poor Jevers......doesn’t even realise the wheels actually come off the bike - no need to bring the entire SCR......

Such people have no business owing a Classic Brit bike.......
