1.300 miles tour through the Alps

Last week I rode a 1.300 tour through the Austrian part of the Alps.
The fuel consumption went down to 3.8 to 4.0 liters per 100 km.:wink2:
It was a great journey with the SCR!

My SCR mileage is now: +19.000 km / +11.800 miles.

Some impressions in the attached photos.

Gorgeous! I spent a summer studying in Salzburg, Austria when I was in college. One of the most beautiful countries in the world.
Beautiful photos.
My SCR is so undernourished......
If it saw a chance to ride in that setting it would simply flood itself.
Whaaat? How do you get such high fuel efficiency?? Is the altitude effect really that strong? You're getting 4.0L/100km = 58.8 mpg, whereas I've been getting 45 mpg or so.

I was riding with low speed because of bad road conditions or very narrow streets. Most of the time 50 to 70km/h. Max speed on better roads 90 to 100 km/h.
Wonderful! I have done some hiking in the Alps, would really like to ride the bike there. However, being located in Sweden I find the approach a bit too long (for the time being...)
Excellent!! I’ve been to Austria twice - it’s such a beautiful country. Did you do any of the big-name passes?
Ben
Arlbergpass 2x, Brennerpass 2x and lot's of small, narrow and steep mountain roads more. ;-)
