Happy holidays first and foremost to everyone! :)

Anyone expecting any goodies under the Christmas tree this year ?!

Whether it be for the 950 or any other bikes, or even some cool gear. Let's hear about it :)

My girlfriend bought me an autographed copy of Finding Cannon Ball's Trail by Don Emde.
Does that count?

She's a keeper alright. Not really scr950 related, but I did get a dash cam for cars that can probably be rigged to work on a bike too.
I've read a bit about Baker and his transcontinental travel. Is his record still standing?
@eddie , that definitely counts ! Signed by a 2 time hall of famer is pretty darn cool !
@OpenRoad , Dash cams are always cool. I was actually looking into getting one on boxing day but didn't get around leaving the house. The festivities seemed to get the best of me lol.
Cameras are very good, I run a GoPro on my helmet every time I'm on one of my bikes.
Getting a stationary one for the bike and one for your helmet seems to be the best combination so you can catch everything. Probably mount the cam facing backwards in case anyone decides to nudge the back of your bike and then have the helmet one record the front for optimal cover.

I have a GoPro too, but haven't gotten around to mounting it on my helmet.
Always wanted to buy a GoPro but never got around to it. I've heard there are other ones on the market that are almost as good for a chunk less of the price though. How do you guys feel the GoPro compares to the regular action cams ?

If you want to "test the waters" without a huge cash outlay, Vivitar makes an inexpensive body camera. Walmart had 'em on sale the other day for $25, including software, handlebar mount, clip mount and a neck strap. It will even take time-lapse shots, too. I got one for my gf for Christmas. She's waiting on better weather to try it out on a ride.
Just make sure to keep your receipt, being that cheap of a product you just never know and when that time comes typically its easy to return stuff at walmart as long as you have a receipt and are within the warranty term.

Before you do that, look for used GoPro's.
Actually found a GoPro Hero from 2015 for sale for $110 CAD. It's the basic one but I think it'll be good to buy and experiment with it ?
That's not too bad. I just went with a GoPro for multipurpose use aside from just rides as it's also waterproof.
They're definitely great to have.. well look great to have at least. Very compact, you can take em' anywhere and use em' for anything. Start vlogging to make some money on YouTube ;)
