My assumption is these are to mount the Yamaha Adventure saddlebag brackets. I'll have confirmation in a few days.
Like relocated turn signals? ;-)Very efficient, I like that. Could be used to make other mounts for other things too perhaps ?
Don't look at me. I glued my fingers together and to the left handgrip on my SCR last night while installing the bar end weights. Not too sure, I don't think they'll look that bad at all. Guess we won't really know for sure until we see someone do it... *hint hint*
It doesn't seem like aerodynamics is really their primary concern. More so just for styling and being different. Unique. It's nice to see people doing crazy things to them, just nit-pick certain aspects and put together your own ideal bike ! :grin2:It's really not that bad, some may even call it cool. But that headlight cover is just so out of place and does nothing for aerodynamics.
There's a bag mount/luggage rack that fits there. I've seen a few with lights, but I think it's more common to mount signal lights through the holes in the metal plate just under the seat, above and behind the plastic number plates. Oh, and welcome to the forum! So has anyone tried using the holes for turn signals yet or not? I'm curious.
I would love to ditch the tail/signals/plate holder setup, that this is big and gaudy.
.
Does anyone know the bolt size and thread count? I'd like to fashion my own bracket and luggage, but I need to know what bolt to use to attach it here. TIA!Confirmed, saddlebag bracket mounts, as per Yamaha accessory website (see pic)
