Black on Black on Black

I really like the way this looks. Very stealth, subtle, nothing loud and sticking out. The tank doesn't have the white insert like I've seen on all the others which I do like. What do you guys think of this one ? Seen it on instagram from user: annakarlsson_75

You can never really go wrong with blacking out a bike and there's still plenty of silver to break up the black bits. I personally like more color on my motorcycles, but I can appreciate the aesthetics of a classy black paint job.
I think if it was fully all blacked out, it may just... like disappear. You wouldn't see anything on it at all but a silhouette lol.
Some models looks great in all black, but the scr950 would look too one dimensional if it was covered completely in black. Even now, this one looks too plain to me without the tank decal.
What would look even better is red decal instead of white and add some red tape to the wheels. Gives it a sporty look.
But not a bright red... a deeper slightly darker red would look great. Or even like a metallic finish sort of color to it.
Speaking of black, that scr950 would look a lot better with a full silver exhaust be it mat of shiny. Just gives it a bit more character than just matte black.
A full chrome exhaust would look beautiful on that. Really make it pop. I feel if all of that matted down greyish-silver pieces were a shiny chrome, it would really enhance the overall effect of this.

Chrome with black accents in a reversal of color, maybe? =)
Ou... my mind did like visualizing that one ;)

Time to get it wrapped and find some high temp paints :)
It...It could work actually. Something like this but with more black accents than just the seat.

A black exhaust system on that would look dope. Those wheels actually look pretty cool on it as well. Maybe wrap the black trim ring on the headlight (the farthest forward piece) in a matte black as well ? What other components would you put in black?
That's just too much for me, looks like something Justin Bieber or someone who lives in the Hollywood hills.... or Atlanta, would ride around. Being someone that likes what happens on an OEM level so much its hard to go to those extreme's and completely accept it.
That's why Scrambled mentioned more black accents. That's way too over the top for anyone on here I would think. It reminds me of those people that buy Bentleys and wrap them in full mirror chrome.. kinda ridiculous.
One important thing to note while i'm against chrome, some finishes similar to it can work on various upper parts of the bike, just depends on how you use it. Only problem for me is it requires a level of creativity that's beyond me. With the style of bike this is I bet someone can pull it off.
Could be done and it's possible we may even see it later on. But it'll come from one of the bigger bike building shops I would presume. The average wouldn't go that far. I personally am trying to visualize what it would look like and I just can't lol so you aren't the only one that doesn't have that level of creativity.
Too bad there aren't any more customized SCR950's since right now there are very few, I have a feeling the speed which we see more show up will be rather slow. Hope that i'm wrong
Hi all, this is the black version in Italy. Just arrived!

I also like it. Here’s my brand new 2017 SR400 in all black and it’s growing on me despite lusting after 60th Anniversary yellow at first. I can save that for the helmet ;)

At nearly 200 miles per tankful, you won't be seeing gas pumps very often. =)
