Not kidding. Did not spill but 3 drops.
So I caught it at the perfect temp. Motor was warm to touch, and exhaust was at ambient.
Then I fit a turkey pan under the thing. Its 1'X1' and 5" deep if I recall. Any pan is fine for this. This isn't the part that kept it clean.

Don't get your hands oily by trying to hold onto the drain bolt. Let it go into the pan. You'd easily retrieve it later.

Then I cut a 1.75L plastic vodka bottle in 2 right where the neck flare ends and the body of the bottle begins. You could use a 2l coke bottle which I have used before however the hand holds on the vodka bottle help you hold it as its getting wet with hot oil.

The neck is the funnel. You scoop with the lower 1/2 and pour it into a 1gal cooking oil bottle. The pourer in the vodka bottle helps your drain bolt from dropping into the gal bottle so you don't have to fish in the oil for it.

Empty the pan of oil before going to the filter. Repeat the process with filter.

I even have the turkey pan intact for next time. Just don't cook turkey in the meantime.

LOL, cos I am a cheapskate ... and I throw lemon and sucralose in it, so makes no difference.
BTW My brother threw a bunch of coffee beans in Texas Son 9 which is 10X distilled and comes in a glass bottle … and after 3-4 months that bugger was awesome.

I also am paranoid about breaking the bottle, so I buy plastic if available.

Haha someone drinks Skol... It's ok I'm not above it. I toss in a couple of cinnamon sticks and a bit of sugar, then let it sit in the fridge for a few days. Feckin' amazing! I'll have to try the coffee bean trick next!

Nice job on the clean oil change btw, mine was a mess.

Yea Skol, taaka, McCormick, Burnetts like we can even tell after the first drink, and that is if we every drank it neat. Toss in a bit or a lot of lemon and all the crap is the same.
I have drank $$$$$$$ vodka that really was worse than the cheap crap, and only slightly $$ vodka that was far far better than the $$$$ crap. Like western son and pinnacle easily beat grey goose and belvedere IMHO.
In any case, I drink to get - slightly hammered. Don't care about the exact type of flavor. Don't like the type or version of the make and model of flavor … good, drink it faster so you get hammered faster.

Platinum, pinnacle and western son are actually vodka's that give grey goose, belvedere and what not a run for their $$$. Platinum may be $15 a 1.75 round here, but its 7 X distilled by Sazerac (same people that make buffalo trace) and pinnacle is 5 X distilled (far better than stoli/Smirnoff) and western son is da bomb. 10X distilled and smooth as butter, and really no taste at all. Oddly that's what defines a good vodka.

Will keep an eye out for WS, though I've never noticed it before. Definitely not cheap, but my go-to for the last year has been Tito's.

Tito's is **** good too. Westers son is very taste free. In fact I think tito's and western son are both from Austin TX … maybe they're the same company LOL. In fact round here WS and Tito's are nearly identical $. $1 or so difference.
