Looks like most of the "Bolt" aftermarket exhausts will work on the SCR. Having listened to many online, I think the Cobra 4" slip-on sounds the best to me.

I'm waiting to see if akrapovic will come out with an exhaust unit for the scr950. They don't seem to be the type of company that shy away from scrambler type bikes especially with how increasingly popular they are becoming.

Someone said it sounds like an Audi RS3. The exhaust certainly looks and sounds nice, but anything from akra comes at a premium.

Holy moly I just listened to an RS3 on Youtube whilst having the instagram thing open and they actually do sound extremely similar.

That would be a fun way to mess with people, they hear an Audi RS3 and look back to see a scr950. :grin2: And it could add to your bikes safety when more people are aware of your presence. Just not really worth it to me.

The price of Akras are never really "worth it"... it's just a matter of if you want it or not and how willing you are to spend that cash for it.

Wonder how much the slip on costs as Akra doesn't have prices listed on their site. It's a great exhaust for anyone who has the money with how great it sounds and the matte black/grey paint.

I've got a habit of roaming around Revzilla even if I don't really need anything in particular and they had the Akrapovic exhaust for the scr950 in stock. I say 'had' because there was a 10% off MRSP sale for it and now it's sold out. Didn't know Akra exhausts ever went on sale, ever.

10% off a $714 exhaust isn't really a lot, but that could be enough of a discount for those who were already looking into getting an Akrapovic slip-on exhaust anyways. $642.60 is still a bit much to me for an exhaust.

Better than nothing when factoring in taxes, shipping and so on. Boxing day and the typical sales that happen during the holidays are too far out from now, better take advantage of what we can get

Found a nice set of exhausts from SC Project, but to install these you'll require a new set of pipes. The pipe covers looks nice and the laser markings reminded me that I know someone with a laser etcher. Wonder if it's good enough to laser metal.

When it comes to exhaust pipes, you can do whatever you want as long as the laser doesn't cut too deep. That's a nice design and no doubt will cost an arm and a leg if you buy it from a third party company.

Hey guys, I had a question as far as performance goes. I see a lot of slip ons boasting increased HP and torque, I really like how the dime city shorty muffler looked on one of our member's bikes though. Do the slip ons give better performance than just buying a replacement muffler? I'd love to get the 20lb exhaust out of the way and a little heartier sound but I don't want to sacrifice performance either. Thanks!

Sounds cool too. But its around $640.00.
If you can afford it. It would be cool. They say its right around 10 pounds, Half the weight of the stock Muffler. Its adds a little horse power and torque... And being heard is important.... but if you dont wear ear plugs... you will screw your hearing... Unfortunately I found out riding real loud bike for a couple years with no plugs......
