Finally out again after 3 weeks of rain!

It stopped raining ! Time for a bimble! It may be overcast, 6 degrees (feels like 3) but the roads are dry... My usual haunts, but by the roads less travelled by, which is how I ended up;
Seeing a post box with a hat at Cowfold (not an Easter bonnet but a tribute for Mothersday): Daffodil survey of the south east , closely followed by a survey of that fine British flowering tree ,the Magnolia! ; on a single track road from Holmbury St Mary to Peaslake, tremendous views to the south from Holmbury Hill , then woods & heath at the top : every where avoiding the Mamils ( Middle Aged Men In Lycra - cyclists) who were also out in force.
Then Newlands for a coffee, and lots of Ducatis': finally Box Hill , everyone having the same idea as me, it was so packed the overspill park was full as well.
All those bikes, only my SCR... and one Bolt! ... and of course, got home, and the sun came out 😝

Thanks again for brightening my day here in Minnesota!
We got over 7 inches of heavy wet snow Friday night and we had several trees and power lines down. We just set the record for the 5th snowiest winter in history. Oh well, 1 more month and we can finally get into the rainy season. Keep up with your ride reports! On a lighter note, I did get my bike prepped for the anticipated arrival of my new to me Corbin. I had to strip the hinge and latch off and fab a rear receiver for the oem style seat. Pictures to follow... Jevers

I've always thought a Vmax would be a fun bike to own for about a month.

Why only a month? The VMax was always my dream bike, alas when I came to get a new bike I could only afford a really old one , and hadn't a garage to keep it ,
so SCR... its a Yamaha ... its a V Twin ... and its unlikely to kill me! What's not to like? (OK the footpegs and the seat, fair nuff!) :p

I aim to please, but you make me feel guilty, hope you get some riding weather soon!

I think any longer than a month and I'd be cheating death. Haha

You are welcome, I am not much of one for modding , but I yearn for the day when I have worn the Knobblies down enough to get some proper tyres!
I'm getting 59 mph on my ride. Unbelievable

I average 60 mpg,but British gallon is bigger than American, and fluctuates according to if I use high or low ethanol percentage fuel ( E5 or E10).

So that is about 50 US mpg. Just about what I get, too, depending on how I ride. I bet if I babied it, I could get mid fifties, but doubt I could get 60 mpg. That is impressive.
I'm using premium with high flow k&n filter and cobra slip on
I have to stay off the throttle and just ho the speed limit 70mph

I use regular, usually 87 octane, but I do have K&N and slip on.
