So far I have no complaints. The amount of value I got from owners here is what really impressed me but that has nothing to do with the admin side of things because without those people, this community wouldn't be... (four letter word goes here)

I love the forum and the setup, but I have one suggestion:

Allow users to edit their own posts without the weird time limit. I know we can edit a post shortly after submitting, but having the ability to edit an original post later on would really be beneficial especially when cataloging mods or projects over time.

I know more about Motorcycles in general after being on this forum. There are a whole bunch of knowledgeable people on here.
And we all have the same bike which makes it all the better. I'l give it a thumbs up.
But....... how about posting the comments left on the Nikken Thread? Whats the deal?
You have a thread where I know we have left comments. .....
Yet they arent showing up. Why?

I've liked the forum since it's inception and still check in now and again despite having traded my SCR950 last April.
I've made some good friends here and still like to see what stuff everyone is up to now and again.
Yea, the phone ads are a bit of weirdness. Funny how the Samsung thing started at 2 pieces, then 3, then 4. LOL

One model forums are bound to thin out as sales deplete the remaining stock.
Still, we're motorcyclists.
We're gonna to come up with a new something cool to do to or with our bikes, right?

You nailed it. This forum is fizzling out. Hopefully some of the regulars will come out of hibernation soon.

Thanks for stopping by eddie. We'll leave the light on.:nerd:

Greetings. Regular coming out of hibernation here. Had an SCR from a'way back. Traded it in for a Honda CB 1100. I have seen the light my bruthas. I have just now acquired another SCR with a little under 4,000 miles. They are truly bad assed machines. I am really happy to own one once again. And really, almost above all, I missed being a part of this forum. I missed the technical stuff, the humor, and the comeraderie of all of the people here and this sight. I am looking forward to it once again. And Eddie, you too may begin to feel compelled to get another SCR one more time and personalize it to your own specs and standards again, Lol !

Ha - don’t worry about @Schu, he’s a little over dramatic at times. I think he’s called ‘time of death’ about 3 times on this forum now.....glad he’s not my surgeon!! :grin2:

Tell us the story @Big-X then!! No, no - let me guess......the in-line 4 CB1100 was a very competent, well put together and finished bike, beautiful to look at, but just lacked a little summat........it could maybe be termed bland, right??

Yes Ben, right on. I used to ride it when I wanted to catch up on my sleep or take a nap. Don't get me wrong. It was a very beautifully engineered piece of machinery, however, it just wasn't all that much fun. Everything was virtually perfect!

LOL - had the same with both of my recent(ish) in-line 4s (Honda CB1300 and Yam XJR1300) - very capable, but lacking a little, I don’t know..... ”je ne sais quoi”

Is that now two former owners who have re-purchased an SCR.....?? Maybe we’re not all as insane as the rest of the biking community make us out to be then?!

Like the forum. Looks like you have it broken down into good categories. But this place is dead... nobody post here. They must all be out riding. I guess with a model driven forum. Only produced for what one or 2 years. There's limited # of bikes and owners. I just bought one with only 2000. Miles. But love being able 2 read all the previous post. Thank you for the forum

Ya. Not really complaining. A wealth of information here. I need to buy a rear rack. For a tail bag. Still ne love the bike. Prolly take off the noisy tires at some point. Prolly slip on and intake. Wish I didn't have to take out the ecu to send off. Be kinda cool to just drive it somewhere and say TUNE IT!!

Send your ECU to Ivan and he will turn it around quickly. It's the best bang for the buck on your SCR upgrades. All aspects of the bike are improved.
