I was in the market for a Bonneville Bolt or Vulcan but when I saw the SRC950 I fell in love. Purchased it few days later and could not believe what a great deal it is currently. Media have been generally poor on it so I was concerned about the weaknesses but outside of the weight I love this bike and found the media weaknesses generally minuscule especially considering the price right now. I also get stopped and asked about the bike 1-2 times every ride. Love it!

Welcome to the fun. The best part of owning an SCR is the fact that you don't see them at every other intersection. Actually, I have yet to cross paths with one on the road.

Thanks guys! Rode halfway up a local mountain trail yesterday... I tried taking pics at a more adventerous area on the trail but was having issues handling the bike at slow speeds up/down slope and the trail was getting past for my skill level on this behemoth

Welcome mate. Your photos remind of the official Yam video for our bike, with Go Takamine’s Brat Style’d SCR:
Any of you SoCal guys know where it was shot (still attached)? Looks like an amazing vantage point....

Great looking bike. Where you at in SoCal?
I'm in the IE/OC area. The photo is at the base of Cleveland National Forest on Indian Truck Trail

That IS a great vantage point. Looks just barely outside of DTLA
I'm wondering if thats Ascot Hills or Elysian Park. I'll have to explore next time I ride into the LA office. Cool video, I haven't seen it before.

Nor I, it's a gooder. Just looked up your accessory driving lights, Im looking for some extra night light. Have you had a chance to use them?
as a matter of fact just used it on Ortega today. Was freezing, gonna have to invest in some winter gloves and dress warmer.

The lights are barely enough imo , i'm looking for more powerful lights tbh

Thanks. Ya, its probably a bit of "you get what you pay for".
I'm not looking for 'barely enough', i want 'almost too much' lol
Be interested to see what you get if you do upgrade them.
