I would be interested, but I am pretty sure that the shipping costs to the U. S. would be expensive. Be patient, I'm sure that someone on your side of the pond would like to have that! Good luck. Jevers

 

Hello all.

I just bought a 2017 SCR950, I’m more than happy with the motorcycle. The only detail I’m not confortable with is the exhaust the former owner had. Is a Yoshimura R-34. I want to change it for the original one.

Is there any one interested in swapping the exhaust pipe ?
or is there any advice of how is the best way to do it?

Welcome - whereabouts are you?

Im not surprised you want to change that - it looks bloody ridiculous!

Original SCR pipes come up on eBay occasionally - keep an eye on there. There was one on there recently, TBH, but I can’t find it now though…..

Bear in mind you’ll also need the mount too, unless you have that? (The picture looks like the Yoshi is hung from the pillion peg - is it?)

You may be able to also fit a Bolt (XV950 in the U.K.) exhaust (again, if it also has the mount) - they come up for sale more (as there is more of those bikes circulating than SCRs), but the exhaust would sit on the bike more horizontally than the SCR one (the mounts are different, with the SCR one being slightly more upswept)…..depends how desperate you are, I guess…..

Another alternative would be to get another, less offensive, aftermarket pipe, but again it would need to have the mount, too (unless you do have the original……)

I live in central London. I'm relatively new to the city and country ( only 2 years, almost all of them under lockdown). But I love the city and the motorcycle.

I see the yoshi is hanging from the pillion peg. So to build up the original I will have to buildup another mount ?

I guess the alternative of a less offensive one could be the best. Which you recommend for a more “original” look and less noisy? Whchi can be mounted with less building.

I have exactly the same matter for the future scr i wanna buy.
At this moment the seller who bought the bike with this f..g noisy exhaust ils looking for a genuine one. Or i willnot buy it..

 

it looks like the whole 2 into 1 stock pipes are there any bolt or scr pipes will fit but you need the brackets and bolts bolt xvs 950 will fit but you need mount muffler and bolts (hardware) scr muffler is specific mount and muffler because it kicks up towards the end of the pipe

I ran the stock exhaust for over 5 years and recently installed a Cobra slip-on. It is noticeably louder, but I just couldn’t bear the looks of that huge stock can any longer. I had opened up the stock exhaust with a hole saw and the sound was perfect. But again, I hated the look. One of our past forum members had cut and shortened his stock exhaust. I gave that some serious thought, but would have had to hire that out as I do not have the fabrication skills to take that on myself. But it looked good.
