How do remove the weights in the end of the handlebars?

I’m installing bark busters on my SCR950 and when I removed the grips I found weights in the end of the handlebars. They don’t seem to budge. Does anyone know how to remove them?

It might be easier to buy a new handle bar.
It's the same as dirt bikes, measure the bend then buy one that's close to it.
I think you need to drill out the spot welds close to the end of the grip then pry the weight out.

I cut an inch off both sides and the weights where still there so I just drilled and tapped the ends to put my mirrors on.It only cost me my time.

Thanks for the information! I'll think about what route to go.
Just get some Renthals mate - better handlebars anyway (less vibration).

Cheers,

Ben
Thought about i...t ordered some nice Renthals.

I ordered these if you want to check them out:

As Ben says new bars, I tried and failed miserably at this.
