Headed back home after picking mine up. Got it so cheap I feel like I stole it. Too bad it's 40° out outherwise I'd ride it the 5 and a half hours home.
Congrats on the new bike. A lot of good deals on the remaining SCRs. Just curious, did you pick the gray color over the red, or was that the only remaining color?

Grey was the only color they had in stock, but I woulda picked grey over red anyways. Out the door price of $4,700! I just couldn't pass it up. When I got it home to Arkansas it was 34° out but I couldn't stand to put her in the garage without a quick spin. She now has 8 miles on the clock.

Don't get me wrong guys. I wasn't downplaying the gray bikes. But it seems the guys that were drawn in by the vintage looks of the old Yamaha enduros seem to select red, and the guys who quickly modify and change the stock appearance are drawn to the gray bikes. I like them both, but I chose red.

I dig the red ones too, but i wear a lot of black or grey so I felt like it'd be a better choice for me personally. Plus I'll be doing a lot of rides with my brother who just picked up a 2018 Road Glide in flat black (yeah,he's more financially secure than me lol) so we'll blend better.

You made a financially secure decision with the SCR.
I'll bet you could've gotten a twopher for less than he shelled out on that Harley. Wait till you both stop for fuel. It will be your SCR that draws people to come look and ask questions. I had a guy give me a thumbs up and ask what year is that Yamaha? He had a blank look on his face when I said 2017. Lol.

I get this allllll the time... from all ages... bikers and non-bikers... in a red light... in a gas station... even when stopping at starbucks parking lot... :)

They all think it's a restored 1970 model... and when you say 2017 ... they have that funny look :grin2::grin2:

The classic look definitely drew me in. Its timeless in my eyes. For sure a very clean bike.
And I coulda bought almost 5 SCR's for what he paid for the road glide.
This is the 1st V Twin I've owned. I've rode a lot of them but never owned one. My last bike was a 2015 KTM 500exc. It was an amazing bike bit divorce took that. Oh well, this SCR starts a new chapter in my life.

I do believe you just took over my record low price, which was $5,257 OTD. Congrats on a great buy on a great bike (and I had to take red because it was the last my dealer had).
