I just ordered a Luimoto seat cover from eBay, in the tan color. I love the look for the most part, but I'm not thrilled about the black panel on the bottom of the seat. The auction listing said the seat covers can be customized, so I asked if they'd replace that black part with the dark brown leather. And I'm thinking maybe I should have asked for it with all tan leather instead. Not great at photoshop so I'm just going by my mind's eye. The black panel just looks off to me.

Yeah it looks too patchwork, I think the stock seat looks better.

I don't think it looks patchwork, I just didn't like the black panel. I talked to them and I went with a dark brown panel on a tan seat. All tan might look better, but I kinda do like the visual breakup of having the different colored panel. I just thought black wasn't the right color.

I think darker panels would look better instead of one solid shade all over. Is it in transit right now? Would like to see a picture of it.

Okay, just got it. I like it, but I should have just ordered the cover all the same color. The slightly darker brown isn't that noticeable as an accent piece. It looks way better than the black, though.

I take it back. Now that the seat cover is on the bike I love the dark brown accent. Will post pic tomorrow!

Last summer i tried out a cheap throwover ATV seat cover on my scr. The extra padding provided more initial comfort but I quickly removed it because of how slippery the fabric was. It felt unsafe,,and it was. I dont know what the scr oem seatcover is made of but its very grippy, its also waterproof. Mama Yama considers a lot of different factors when designing a motorcycle, safety is probably top of the list. Not saying all aftermarket covers arent good, just relating an experience.

My stock scr seat was slippery as the dickens. I cant really say Yamaha made a safe product here bro.

Lol, yeah you've mentioned it a couple of times... I don't know what kind of riding pants you wear, but my old stock seat was grippy as sandpaper. Maybe Mamayama changed the material in later editions? Dunno,couldn't say, I ended up buying the Corbin.
