Yesterday as I was leaving work (this was at about 5:30pm on Mariposa by 280) I spotted a gray SCR, and I don't think it was @harleyy_rider22 because it looked totally stock. Do we have a new rider in the Bay area?? I tried to catch up to the guy, but I was on a bicycle, and the lights conspired against me.

Speaking of @harleyy_rider22 we haven't heard from him in awhile now. Hope everything is OK.

Probably not me, I am not a big fan of the city.. neither in car on a bike .. or even on foot

people are always in rush there !! Angry drivers .... and police are on every corner giving parking tickets... (and that metered parking drives me crazy) LOL

But I would still go if there was a ride or an event.. wouldn't miss an SCR gathering... :)

I know... I am following the forum silently.. been so busy getting stuff done.. , switching careers.... studying... going to job interviews... etc
but would never have a week without riding, even around the block... it's the only therapy now

just got a little over 5000 miles now.... I really feel happier the more miles i log on it...

You know... when I was in the decision of buying this bike... I checked rental prices.. and it was like $100 a day.. (at least)

I told myself... If I could make a mile for each $1 I paid for this bike... I won't feel bad about buying it...

so... $2000 more remaining :grin2::grin2:

Well, it wasn't me! MotoSF has (had) two 2017's for sale, one red and one gray. They still have the gray one, I got the red one yesterday! 4 miles on the odometer when it left 8th Street around 2 pm.

Off to Oakland. First impression... Lots of low end torque compared with my traded-in 1992 Yam Seca2. Starter clutch failed and that's an engine split so bye bye.

Need to get some kind of windshield. Across the bridge, lots of wind on the chest. NOt unreasonable. Just different. OF course, speeds over 60 not possible in this direction this time of day.

Day two, I road up and around Skyline Drive, Oakland on it with a passenger. Noticed the air filter pushing out my right knee. Now I want to replace it with a smaller intake. Looks like I need to pair the new one with a new exhaust set. So much to learn and understand. Thank Goodness for this Gee Dee forum!

I was looking at the Ducati, but this Yamaha has a much better riding position. For taller folk this is important. So I got the Yam Scram.

Who has a recommendation for the right knee filter problem?

Welcome bud.
There was another thread about smaller filters recently - you’ll find it! :grin2:

Based on a photo posted this September on the SCR950 Riders group on fb with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background, I have a prime suspect for who I may have seen that fateful day in August. No telling if the fella posts here.
