Hi, just got me a SCR950!
Historically more of a Triumph guy but now I got a BSA, FXR and the YAMMI.

hope to get some helpful Info from you guys.
Danmoto exhaust ordered not sure if I will go just with Ecu flash or/and PC.

Did anybody open up the stock airbox?
Should not be too bad with KN filter if it was cut open in front supercharger style? looks like it was intended that way clean cut lines in the plastic...

I haven't gone through with it yet, but I am pretty sure I'll be getting an ECU flash done sooner or later to address one of my biggest peeves with the bike and improve the continuity of throttle response at the low end. I'm getting pretty tired of the jump in accel/decel when I'm creeping in traffic.

I HATE THAT.
Try and ride one handed in that situation.
It's almost dangerous.

Agreed! I'm seriously considering getting mine flashed from here:
Ivan's Performance Products. My only question is, is it appropriate to flash the ECU without any other mods to exhaust/intake? Or are they necessary?

Welcome mate.
Triumph - say no more. :wink2:
Beware, you’ll need some nuts!!........to mount the Danmoto. Well, bolts actually - it doesn’t come with any apparently, and the stock mounting bolts are too long. You can either cut the originals down, or order some new ones for a few pennies (cents). This page on the Bolt forum suggests what you need:

Danmoto Highway man exhaust

but I’m gunna wait until mine arrives, and then measure myself. It’s finally been released from customs, and is scheduled to land with me Wednesday!

The answer is yes, as discussed here:

I was running Ivan’s ECU reflash on a bog stock bike until last week (when I changed the filter) and the biggest single noticeable benefit was what you are discussing (transition from on-to-off throttle). The remap changes the bike from shutting the injectors immediately when you throttle off, to a more gradual closure, achieving the response I think you are looking for. As discussed on the link above, the other big advantage of the reflash is that most subsequent mods to intake and/or exhaust you might make are already catered for.

Lots more info here:

Thank you for the warm welcome!

I am thinking about modifying the stock airbox since I am too cheap to spend that kinda money on an aftermarket one. Size don't bother me and I just want to open it up Hypercharger style and use KN filter for 50 bucks with some SS wiremesh.

Anybody done that?
