New Owner SCR950

Having owned an SCR for several months now, it's nice to know there is a dedicated forum. Wasn't sure my purchase was a good one riding home. However, I've found, that after I made a few changes to the seat and pegs, that it's growing on me. The bike definitely has more character than several other bikes I've owned in the past. But, I regress, new owner here.

Welcome to the forum! It's a quirky bike for sure, but that's why I like it.

Welcome from Minnesota! I've owned my SCR for 5 years now and it has grown on me every time I take it for a ride! Enjoy, keep modding and post pictures. Jevers

Welcome from Washington State. Whereabouts are you located?

Ocala, in north central Florida, horse country. Lot's of nice back roads.

Are you able to pretty much ride all year?
I won't answer for Candoman, but here's my guess.... YES, you can ride year round in Florida. A month ago I rode my FJR from Pensacola Beach to Fort Meyers and the weather was perfect ( for me, ), 70°f and sunny! I will now put my gun away, tear up my list of demands and return to my seat so this flight can resume.😉 Jevers

Jevers is right, one can ride year round. There are only 3 seasons in Central Florida, Spring runs Feb. thru April; Summer, May thru mid Oct.; and Fall mid Oct. thru Jan.. Maybe a couple of frosts in Jan.. It can get kinda hot during Summer, but the mornings and evenings usually cool down a bit. Oh, and hurricane season runs June through October, but usually not a major concern in Central Florida. So, yes, it's easy to put a lot of miles on a bike here.

Year round riding sounds amazing even if you have to ride in the evenings or mornings in mid-summer.
