New SCR 950

Hello all. I’ve been ghosting this forum ever since I saw my first SCR 950. It brought me right back to memories of riding my 1975 Yamaha DT100 as a teenager. Well here I am at age 52… got the kids settled with college, took care of the honey-do list… and I figured it was time to pull the trigger. I picked up this SCR with less than a 1,000 miles on it. It now has some of the following add-ons: wind/glare screen, wrapped mufflers, rear fender eliminator, license plate side-mount, Vance & Hines air intake, Corbin seat, Yamaha Saddlebag, and Baron slash cut exhaust. I hope you all enjoy this as much as I do. Thank you to those who contributed to this forum with some awesome insight and ideas. I’m ready to ride!

Hi Tim congratulations on getting back in the game. What stunning SCR you have found. I'm sure a DNA test would find some DT 100 in there somewhere but like a lot of us the bike as put on a little weight over the years. It definitely lacks the ground clearance of the DT.
Enjoy many happy safe miles.
I too started on a DT 100 in77/78 don't suppose you ever forget your first love.

Great stuff! It looks like you had a '76 DT 100. I love that Green Machine... nice we both have a beefed-up version to enjoy 45 years later.

Did someone say DT100?
Here's mine. It was missing most of the street legal hardware, so I went with an off-road version.
