The one thing that I like is the licence plate mount with rear signals relocated (and I assume tail light attached). This opens up the rear fender and makes room for a rear rack. With our stock SCR licence plate mount the round red reflectors could be removed and replaced with signals to accomplish the same thing. One would just have to find a tail/brake light to fit nicely above the licence plate.

My first plan is to remove that hideous fender extension. Second is to mount a taillight right under the fender at the end. I'm thinking either a Harley style LED light or a cat eye light. Initial thought is the two little holes right above the shocks would make a great location for some turn signals... but then I though that I might like to have saddlebags eventually. I do very much want a fender-mounted rack of some sort.

For me, the problem with mounting indicator lights in the location you suggest is they become concealed when carrying a travel bag on a fender mounted rack. Not usually a fan of fender extensions but in this case it seems a small compromise for a practical solution.

They must've done it on purpose. No way did that slip by at that level.
