Bought this 2017 SCR with 1200 miles. Not a scratch on it. Good power, a bit heavy. Does dirt roads but not well on fire roads. A lot of talk about the seat. I actually like it. But since I won’t have anyone else on it I purchased a Yamaha accessory one butt seat. Didn’t fit at all.
That’s ok though. I had already decided to lower the seat by fabricating a new seat frame. Lowered the frame 2” but the seat is thicker. Lowered the actual seat height by 1.25”. Now with boots with a heal I can flat foot it.
The Yami seat is Very nice. Also made a little rack.

Really Cool Forum. Glad I found it.

Good to have you aboard mate!

Don’t know about others on here, but I’m finding - as I breeze past 10k miles - the bike really loosens up, and feels like it’s making its power (what there is) a little more freely…..which is always nice!:D So…..there’s that to look forward to……(y)
Cheers,

PS - flip the front mudguard (fender) round when you get chance ;)

Really? Curious, why?

Many SCRs were assembled incorrectly with the front fender being backwards. The longer end should sweep back to keep the engine clean and the short end goes forward. Yours is correct.

Ahhh, I see. Thanks and good looking out.
