Hey guys, thinking about picking up this combo
Does anyone have experience with the EJK fuel controller? I know that PCV is kind of king of the hill but if I can take this to a shop and get similar results it would work out better as I don't have the confidence to adjust myself. If not, what would you guys suggest?
Really digging the look of the K&N filter and I'm planning on having a Dime City 12" Shorty installed so I think I do in fact need a controller. Furthermore, this is the sort of thing you can take the a shop and they can work out right? Thanks!

I'd skip the universal stuff and send your ECU to Ivan. His reflash fixes more than just fueling - you'll get ignition timing fixes, a higher rev limiter, elimination of the closed-throttle fuel-cut, and much much more. I mean, the stock ECU messes with your ignition timing based on what gear you're in, and retards higher rpm timing so the bike doesn't produce full power. I would start there, and then consider a power commander if you want to eke out a few more ponies. But Ivan will give you a base flash that will be a FAR better baseline to start with.

Everyone keeps telling me to go with Ivan's which I would like to eventually but I really just wanted to replace the air box and exhaust and make that doable. Will Ivan's also keep the bike from running too lean with a new airbox?

I plan on going with both, PC5 and the red lash. I’m sure the Ivan’s reflash will richen up the fueling some but I prefer to edit it further with the pc5

Crocketus - I spoke to Ivan on the phone last week, and my ECU is with his European amigo in Greece as we speak. He told me his tune is good for about 90% of pipe and filter set-ups, as they are pretty basic changes. So, to
answer your question - yes (that's all I'm doing to mine). It's also much easier than adding a fueller - remove ECU, send off, receive back, plug it back in. Check out the StarBolt forums - tonnes of guys have had it done. From what I understand, a lot of the guys on there are happy with the tune the reflash provides on its own. To maybe eek out the very last % of performance, or throttle smoothness etc. you might add a fueller on top (Ivan can supply these with specific tunes depending on your set up too), but it's sounds like regular road riders really don't NEED to.
