Having crunched the SCR last weekend ( see thread labelled "Ouch") I am now waiting for parts, but it was too nice not to ride, and I needed to get in the saddle again,
so having had it serviced I went out and about on the BMW 1100R, 22 years old and it's got a centre stand, tacho and helmet lock! Totally different ride,, rock solid motorway speed cruising, it stops , it goes ( oh yes it goes ... 80 BHP compared to 50 odd) , less tiring than the SCR but ... and here is the but... it is just efficient, not joyous like the SCR, but a ride is a ride.
So Crawley to Newlands Corner

Not bad looking for 22 years old, you can see the wrinkles close up though...

i am wondering if my choice of helmet was a sign???:p
Then a leisurely ride back up hill, down dale, in sunken lanes to home, via Shere, Ewhurst, Ockley and Rusper.
Finally ...Beer!

You know, sometimes Mark, you scare me! I have this vision of you with catacombs (by decade ) of bikes, just waiting to resurrect them,...🦇

I have got a few bikes.... my problem is, if/when I get another bike, I just cannot bring myself to sell any of the bikes I already have. Until the garage is full, which it is now! Having said this, I reckon a brand new, fully-loaded GS/Multistrada/Goldwing would probably be worth more than my (far-preferable) collection of more modest/oldie bikes. But, as ever, each to their own 🙂
