Nobody seems to post much on the topic of Other Motorcycles so here goes. This little dude is going to be a blast when I get it done. 1975 DT100 that was missing too many parts to restore as original, so I stripped off what was still on the bike and went the off road route. It wouldn't be safe to play in traffic with a 100 anyhow.

Great job on the restoration! If that's the almost finished product, I'm curious to see what the 1975 DT100 looked like when you started the project.
This shows the DT100 as purchased alongside a DT360 which was my last winters project. The 360 still needs a final paint job on the tank. I have all the decals but I am considering hiring out the paint. If you click on "Gallery" you can see the rest of my herd. Lol

Sweet little bike! How big will the stable get?!? Really though, its awesome youre preserving them.
Hey did you happen to catch any of that meteor the other day? I am very intrigued with that story!
I really need to call it good with the 8 enduros I have now and simply do suttle upgrades on them all as time and money allows. I only run these things on the rural gravel roads near home. My two sons live within 10-minutes on back roads. Plus there are three burger and beer joints that I can ride to in less than 15 minutes on back roads only. I rarely go too far because none of them are legally licensed or insured for road use. I cross my fingers and ride.
That meteor scattered pieces about 20 miles from me. I never saw or heard anything, but my dog did, now that I think back on it. A coworker said it was within a mile of his house. He said the roads were closed and NASA had people searching up the pieces. He said they had satellite images that pin pointed the hot rock locations. Can't vouch for the truth on any of that.

Finished the little 100 over the weekend. Just waiting on 3 white oval number plates I ordered on eBay. She fired up on the fourth kick. It idles nice and has good throttle response. No way am I riding it in the slop we have outside here in Michigan right now.

Well I braved the cold temps and ran it down the road and back. Wanted to make sure it shifts into all 5 gears and see if the clutch needed adjustment. All went well except the rear tire is lightly scrubbing the swing arm on the chain side. I need to lengthen the chain a link or two so I can pull the wheel back a bit. The chain looks like new but it wouldn't go on unless the wheel was nearly all the way forward. This maybe be my scoot for getting around at Mid-Ohio Vintage Days this year. 🏍

What is this "Off Season" you speak of? ;-)
And why does the photo showing 21F have nothing but a brick wall in the background?

Yea 21 degrees is plenty cold! 40 degress is about my limit. Ive had the bike out once since November.
Streets are covered with salt and the condensation in the garage drove me to park the bike in the house.
Winter here is off season for riding. Unless you have a good garage and maybe some heated gear.
That salt residue makes me want to wait until we get some good rain this spring.
Must be nice to be in an area that not frozen most of the winter. All the trees here are brown sticks. No leaves no green for almost 6 months.
I know why people end up moving south!!!

Southwest Southeast. They have it made in the shade my friends. There is a real good reason that people from the frozen North, move South.
The summers up here are great. But winter??? Well, one gets tired of it after many decades. Cant imagine Canada!

I took the photo at the start of the ride while the Super Tenere warmed up. =)
I left work one morning on my former GL1800 and pressed the temp button to see how stupid I was for taking a bike to work. The display said 18, which was coincidentally the volume level of the stereo. I thought the button was broken. Then I noticed the F after the 18. That's a long was from the city commute I had later that year. (attached)
:grin2:

Well my little 100 had wheels so out of round I can't imagine trying to true them up thru the spokes. So I have been watching ebay for complete wheel assemblies. Found a set but they want $130 for the front and $110 for the rear. Then I stumbled onto a complete parts bike on CL and offered the guy $240. I'm picking it up on Friday after work!
