I'm sure someone out there would like it but that windshield in a few of those shots are ugly. Looks like they found a cheap piece of plastic and bolted it on. aftermarket seems to be the only way to go with when it comes to scr950 windshields.

They should have put a stripe through the windshield so it matches the number plate on the side, that way it won't look so out of place. Or you can do it yourself, it's not hard to spray one on.

as nice as that would be i'm glad they kept it the way it is right now instead of adding more, gives more room for creative minds to do something unique and still clean, all while keeping the bike different. It also leaves room for doing something that look very Yamaha.

That windshield does look quite off-putting. But thankfully its not a lot taller. That would've been worse. That being said, I don't like the stripe around it either.

That micro cowl goes for $224.99. You may as well go aftermarket for something better and cheaper. What I am interested in is their speedometer visor. Glare during the daytime can make things hard to read.

I think they're coming out with another scr950 windshield that's not as small for around the same price.

you guys should also keep an eye on what the aftermarket companies will have available since that's going to be another angle to hit here.
how high might some of you need the windshield to be?

I'm actually more interested to just ditch the windshield altogether. For the riding I'll be doing, I'm not too worried about having one.

When it comes to city riding i'll take it off but there will be times I go on road trips with a lot of time spent on the highway or roads similar to highways, so that's where i'll be using the windshield.

Which would you prefer ?? Micro cowl or adventure quick release ?

I'd go with the adventure quick release but if it was more tinted. that should reduce any gauge glare we might get on sunny days.

I'm sure getting it tinted shouldn't be too much of an issue though, but it sure is nice to be able to take it on and off easily

Easy enough that you can do it yourself. Only thing is to really decide on what level tint you want to get and go from their, some people are very particular about the level they get.

With that being said with a poll on tint level, it would be interesting to see who get what.

That's true.. I would really like to see how the glare is though through the different levels. That would ultimately make my decision

I would just tint it pure black like the micro cowl to block all sunlight from glaring onto the cluster. Anything less and I feel like it's just there to block wind without blocking the sunlight.

Anyone know how the Yamaha quick release windshields work? The bolts look like they're permanent and hard to remove.

Usually things like this work the same across a lot of bike makers, no point in reinventing the wheels so although I haven't tried this myself on a Yami, I can imagine that it works the same way.
