What causes a picture that was posted, to disappear the next day?

Depends on how it was posted. Could be a hosting issue if you used a 3rd party like imgur (though not likely), a file path issue, forum host server problem. I would bet that it's the latter.

Hmmm. I've posted pics before, with no issues, and they're still here. It's not a big deal, 'cause I could re-post. But I'm wondering if maybe image size has something to do with it?

This site has sometimes been failing to load images for me recently, as well, including that one. I could see "attached images:" but nothing below that.
