I'm aware of Ivan's, but was hoping to hear from someone using a PC.
Well than, sorry. I have a k&n , open exhaust (voodoo) and a flash from Ivan and the bike runs very well. I don’t think it’s necessary unless there are additional mods. Knock yourself out.

Never mind Mr Personality.

Is there a reason you’re looking at a PC instead of a reflash? I’ve no experience of them myself, but I think the reflash is thought of the more elegant solution, and allows changes/mods/improvements that a PC does not. It’s ease of use is certainly up there too - “plug and play”. Of course, not everyone wants to get the one bit of the bike you’re really not supposed to mess with overwritten!! (although Ivan can flash back to stock if not to your liking).

I had a Power Commander years ago on my '97 Suzuki TL1000S. What a beast that bike was, and the PC helped tame its snatchy throttle and fueling issues. So my experience with at least the first generation of PC was a good one.

I've had negative and positive experiences with "reflash" services on automobile ECUs, but that was quite a while ago, as well. I've read good things about the "Ivan" reflash, but I have a certain angst about someone doing "mystery" work on an ECU that I can't see or verify. PC lets you do the work yourself, and see real time how it affects fueling. Also, the hassle of having to "ship it back" in order to get it to stock is null with a PC.

Thus, I was hoping to get some feedback and experience regarding the PC with an SCR950. Just doing some research.

Aah - a ‘widowmaker’, eh?! One overtook us on the way to Stafford a few weeks’ ago, on Yoshi pipes - sounded glorious. Anyway, good luck with your research - be sure to let us know what route you go down.

I wish I kept that bike. I think I wind up saying that about every bike I own. Other than the weepy clutch cover, tank slapping propensity, and glitchy fueling, it was a sweetheart. Once I had the PC and an Ohlins steering damper installed, I took it to track days and had a wonderful time.

I ordered a pipe for now, I want and intake too. Power commander website has 11 available maps, my concern was, they have a map for the Vance and Hines pipe w/ stock intake but not for a Vance and Hine pipe + aftermarket intake. I don't wanna drop 400 on one until I see more map options.
