Same here and I think red will be one of the more common colors to be sold with the SCR.

I still won't mind something else common among Yamaha, Blue being it. Just replace red with blue and it should look good.

Lucky for you, out of the two that will be the least common to see around. This poll agree's with that statement, Yamaha's marketing agree's, Yamaha's allotment to publications agree's, now it's just a matter of seeing how many of each end up in the hands of owners. Starting to think a yellow would work.

While I was in the Yamaha dealership today picking up my new foot pegs, I noticed they had three current model Bolts (standard, C-spec and R-spec) plus a grey & silver SCR.
The owner commented on how the Bolts just didn't take off like they'd hoped, good press & all.
The whole market is off by a bunch, though. So, it's not the bikes' fault.
Good news for anyone interested:
Some of the Bolts are eligible for a $1000 rebate. That's a chunk!

Darn. that's a good chunk of change to get back as a rebate on one !

I always thought these would've sold like hot cakes given the reviews and all that good stuff but I guess not. Gonna try to look for sales numbers :)

What's interesting is seeing how it sells in a range of different local markets since this whole rise of Scramblers are being marketed to a younger crowd. So the further away you go from where they're located, how people buy starts to change.

When it comes to motorcycles, the possibilities are endless really. It depends on your budget and skill level. Heck, I found an Hello Kitty Scrambler online. Yamaha special edition paints should just be an option across the board.

Who needs sliders when you can install a set of training wheels! Tempted to do the same just to mess with people, but those custom wraps are in no way cheap especially the heat tolerant one on the exhaust.

I wish Yamaha would have a mod contest for the scr950 so we can see what aftermarket companies can really do in terms of paint design.

Or better yet some anti-gravity tech that prevents us from falling, it just has to be active anti-gravity so we can still throw it around in the turns. Ideally it should be enough to let our knees come within an inch of the pavement ;)

I think there are bikes in the works out there that are trying to be "fall-proof" but I really don't know how maneuverable they are yet. Highly doubt they'll let your knees get within an inch of the ground.......... yet. ;)
