Good to hear from you again. I clicked on your link and I must say I like the latest design better than my early version. Mainly the reshaped flap. Great stuff, and I hope you are keeping busy with your leather craftsmanship.
Thanks for the feedback! I've learned a lot over the past few years designing other bags for the
Yamaha Bolt,
Yamaha Stryker, and now prototyping bigger traditional-style saddlebags for my Indian Scout. I realized on the SCR950 bags that 1) the flap was a little small and didn't always sit in the right place, 2) there was no inner flap to keep the elements out, and 3) those pockets, while they looked cool, were rather nonfunctional. This new design is more stable, more weather resistant, and more utilitarian.
The leatherworking biz is on the up-and-up, and definitely keeping me busy. In fact, I was just highlighted in the
NashvilleVoyager as a new small business in TN (I relocated from Chicago in Aug btw)!
Anyway, I'm happy to see this forum still alive and well.
