If so, congratulations, it's well deserved.
But we will need to see an improvement in your behavior if Burke starts rattling your cage about something.

Joking aside, I'm glad you stepped up to the task. I would've voted for you if it came to that.

Is it a coincidence that the quickweedstore showed up around the same time as your promotion?

Ha ha - I knew you’d be the first to notice!

Yeah, when they asked whether anyone would be interested about a month ago, I considered it for a bit, and then thought “why not”? I was hoping it would also show them we were still interested in the forum too, and would be sorry were it ever to disappear - there’s only a few of us (relatively) on here, but I know I’d miss it

As for the weed store guy - yeah, I thought the same! Strange coincidence…..maybe I’m being tested?? 🤔

As soon as I’ve gone thru my instructions, I’ll blitz him

Be warned though - same will go for any more 2-stroke talk!!

I'm stoked that you're the super moderator! I've been a long time lurker, but I joined fairly recently. I love this forum and I hope it never goes away! Does anything on the internet truly go away? 🤔Also, I think I'm the only person who owns a SCR in Portland, Oregon, so this is my go to place for ideas / inspiration. Most folks see my bike and either don't really know what to think, or they think that I'm on some Harley / Yamaha joke build..

Yes - you probably are the only one in your area. I think there’s only 1 SCR in most areas (if that!!)

Did 250 miles on mine today, and yet again had a few people ask “what is it”? or exclaim “I never knew Yamaha ever made anything like that…..”

And yet again I used the “it’s pretty much like a Yamaha Sportster” analogy……to which one guy replied today: “I’d have yours any day”!!

I've had the exact same conversation a hundred times! 250 miles on the bike sounds great right about now. In a few weeks I'm headed on a 250 mile scoot out to Christmas Valley, OR for my better half's birthday and I can't wait to get out there! She's rides a Guzzi and when we role up to get gas or food, no one can quite put their finger on what we're siting on..🤣

Mine had a backwards fender when I bought it too! I tried to tell them...but they wouldn't budge. We actually got into argument because they couldn't see it. "The shop would never let something like that happen and they've seen a thousand front fenders and would absolutely spot something like that from a 100 yards away"... I just went home, turned it around it and moved on 🤣. They're probably telling their friends about that one time this idiot wouldn't shut up about his front fender 🤷‍♂️

Havent you put a pic of her bike on here before - it’s a V9, isn’t it? I love both the Bobber and the Roamer, especially now they’ve slotted the detuned V85TT engine in them. What is hers like to ride (especially in comparison to the SCR)?

I guess their days are numbered though, as we’ve seen with all air-cooled v-twins recently, and especially in “Gootsi’s” case with advent of the new V100 water cooled block, just revealed a few days ago.

I don't think I have, but then again, I don't remember much of last week 🙃. She has a 2014 V7 Stone that has some really nice scrambler upgrades to it. I love her bike and honestly it brings over more motorcyclists than any other bike I've had! The high up pipes she has are incredible sounding and they also work wonders at warming 1 leg (insert overheated-leg-sarcasm). Those shaft drive bikes are so fun to ride because of the power throughout the whole rev range. It's got bar end mirrors now, too. Unfortunately, the Guzzi shop in Portland closed down a few years back so getting parts is that much more 'time/wallet-consuming'.
