What are you currently riding now and what's the suspension travel? The SCR950’s suspension travel is 4.7 inches in the front and 2.8 inches in the back, the rear is a bit concerning for me too especially with luggage, a full tank and my own weight.
Think the Bolt's aftermarket suspension parts will fit the scr950?
I've read of a reviewer who heard metallic sound from the rear when going over roads that aren't perfectly kept, the same thing happened with the Bolt too. You'd think Yamaha would improve on this in an SCR model.
If the Bolt and scr950 uses the same shocks, then the Bolt Öhlins shocks may fit.
Apparently, Yamaha decided on the short suspension travel purely based on cost. It would cost them too much to develop, produce, ship, store, etc a new frame just for one model.
Keeping up with specific companies on social media is great. Majority of new releases from aftermarket companies are teased and released on social media first as a form of advertising even before they're posted on the sites.
At least the 4.7 inches of travel in the front doesn't dive uncomfortably even under hard braking. Just gotta be careful of the rear if you don't plan to upgrade.
