Just installed - will add a Rotopax and pelican case next
Looks great! You're gonna like that Roto Pak. I had one on my XR650L and rode it through the Rockies, never leaked a drop! Very high quality. Jevers
Really like this setup! Looks like it's bike specific. Did you have a link to to the part number(s)? Thanks
Nice, I like that luggage rack, seems like a great business model, step 1. bend a foot long metal pipe step 2. collect $200.
Whelp, I just pulled the trigger on the same setup. Will make luggage selection a whole lot easier, as well as aux fuel carrying.

I like it too and will probably get the same setup.

I noticed in a another thread you are thinking of getting handlebar risers. I'm looking at Rox risers. They come in 2", 3 1/2", and 5". I think I want the 2" ones...I'm hoping I won't need longer cables but I'm not sure??

2 is about as high as you should go on a motorcycle. I have a no-name brand set or 2 inchers that I will put on in the next week or so and can let you know.

I am very interested in these pannier frames. A Rotopak fuel cell on the right and a soft bag on the left. My Ventura rear seat bag [14 litres expand to 22 litres] and a 10 litre tang bag. It would be enough. This would be for use in Thailand.
Was any drilling needed to fit the pannier rails, please?

IF I were you (and I'm not), I would (and have) put the Rotopax on the LEFT side, AWAY the exhaust

Good thinking.
No drilling. They mount to the frame and the Death Star sized light cluster.

Sorry for the upside down pics, but you get the point. I carry 4 liters of extra gas in this configuration (1 gallon basically), Though Jevers’ point is well taken that maybe I put both cans on the other side. But, I can load her up for touring with a 210 mile range like this. The luggage is Giant Loop MotoTrekk bags and Possibles pouches (I have 4), OBR ADV 2 liter bottle holders. I can mix and match for the trip, so if I need extra fuel I go up with the bottles, or extra gear I go up with the possibles pouch. If I were to go to Alaska, I would add a gas bag. But who am I kidding, if I went to Alaska I’d take my KLR! This bike is for rode touring with some gravel and dirt roads thrown in. And for city riding. It is one of the coolest looking bikes on the road!

So you have the SW-Motech SLC Racks on your SCR? I have that system on my ride. I was wondering, what kind of rear luggage rack fits with the SW Moteck Rack system. I was figuring that none will fit given thy fill up a lot of holes and space. I love the rear rack you have, would like to get one myself if they fit with the SW-Motech bags.

Yep, it is the Fehling rear rack. The SLC system mounts up underneath it. I wasn’t sure they would work together, but they do. I have about 2,000 miles with this luggage setup, no burning from the pipe and the way the mounting plates work the bag is held up high and tight. The attached thumbnail should show it closer up, right side up. The SLC is in front, rack in back but you can see how the SLC mounts below the rack to the shock tab. Works like a charm.
