Pretty stoked about the way this thing is turning out!

Latest progress is getting the upper shock mounts relocated and getting some nice Fox Racing Shox installed for better ground clearance and rideability. Thus far I have done an XSR700 wheel swap putting me on 17" which will be ideal for the Twisties, and also front end swap while still retaining the original inner stansions and springs but using the XSR lowers to get the nice twin disc brake action and much better calipers. Additionally I have done the chain conversion and as far as power delivery it's definitely snappier but I've yet to find a way for the speedo to work properly as it does not work at all now. I'll probably do some sort of vapor gps style speedo. Got the exhaust from Dean Speed and it's an incredible sounding pipe for sure. Went with the K&N filter and replaced the stock footpegs with some ones off of a newer Tenere. The only real thing left is the tune which I have been assured is going to make a massive difference! From here it's just paint and a fresh seat cover and it's a completed build!

WOW! That thing is incredible! Very tastefully done. Except ( now this is strictly my opinion ) the front fender. I like how high it is mounted, but to me it looks too modern. But, then again so do the wheels, which I also like! I guess it is a mix of retro and modern, kind of like my bike, which is on a much lesser level. Just my 2 cents worth... Still a beautiful bike. What colors/graphics are you doing? Jevers

Very nice! Best high fender I’ve seen yet, but I agree with Jay in regards to a clash in the era of that style fender. Does the top strand of chain clear the swing arm pivot? The picture makes it look like it’s laying on the pivot tube. Nicely fab’d sprocket cover. Well done.

Yeah the front fender has been on and off for me but I think once it and the tank and side covers and rear fender are all painted the same color it's gonna look a lot more streamline. The goal was to make it a beast in the Twisties. I live about an hour from Two wheels of suches and about 3 hours from Tail of the Dragon in North Carolina and I just had to have a more capable version of what was there. Love the power plant and the noise just needed some suspension and brakes to put it on par!

Hoping the paint job will streamline everything and make it make more sense. Also heavily contemplating going with the Acerbis Elba Enduro style headlight like the older Enduro bikes of the past. Going for a supermoto Vtwin vibe.

Also the chain is just barely rubbing so I'm gonna see about getting a plastic slider type setup or maybe a roller.
Just curious if you thought about bobbing the rear part of the oem front fender? It would match the rear fender... Or.... just turn it around like some dealers have!
Reminds me of a chunkier Duke Desert Sled now!!

I like my Cobra slip-on.
Your exhaust is still top choice in my opinion.
