I wanted to put a holder for my phone on my handlebars to use GPS directions when I need them. This drains the phone battery fast so I figured a way to charge it while using it. I had a battery tender connected, so I just modified it to accept a USB port. Ran it under the tank and tied it to the frame. Now the phone stays charged as I ride. I guess you could use it for bluetooth apps too.

Deltran Battery Tender sells a USB connector that mates up to their regular plug. It works great as long as your connector is easily accessible.
I use the USB connector for my GPS all the time. I'd be lost without it. (Pun intended)
