Didn't think Visordown would take so long to test ride the SCR950 considering how large of a motorcycle publication it is, but their editor finally had a chance at the launch in Sardinia.

Even rode it on gravel trails and across a stream. Seems to have performed adequately even though it wasn't' really meant to be an off-road powerhouse. Just a few complaints about the suspension travel, ground clearance adn the pegs that are sitting a bit too wide apart for his liking.

Ground clearance for the trail he was on proved it wasn't really adequate but on road he says it was good enough which is where majority of us will be riding so I'm content with that. He did like the narrow tank though which is a good thing

In the full review, he mentioned that the air-box was sticking out and it could be replaced by an an induction scoop. That could work if the scoop was thin enough.

Seen how bad roads are in other parts of the world and even for them the SCR should be good, india being one of those places.
Will be interesting to hear from riders from those ways

Really depends on the roads as the scr950 is still lacking in aftermarket suspension options. I'm sure it could be more off-road capable with the right set of shocks, but so far I've only seen one set of front fork springs and that's from Baron.

The journalist noticed that it sometimes went into neutral instead of second. Is anyone else experiencing this or is it just him?

Don't think that's a normal thing as we would have heard a lot more owners complaining about it?

Not everyone is quick to join a new forum like this and the demographic being a bit older, we won't find riders quick to come to online communties. Give it time and we should see more replies.

I've heard of this happening in older bikes with higher mileage but nothing new like the SCR950. Maybe the test bike has a badly worn gearbox.

It's a possibility. I guess just take a look at other reviews as there are many out there and see if anyone else reports the same thing
