Got my bike in September and am a first time rider. Read and heard that it was a great starter bike so I jumped on it. Love the older style and it matches the riding position of the small Suzuki I did the rider's course on. Thankfully the SCR has a much less touchy hand brake though.

I'm still buying gear and sending stuff back like crazy. Finding stuff that fits right and is made well has turned out to be harder than anticipated. Looking forward to next spring when I'll have everything ready to go :grin2:

Even with a bit of snow on the ground i have seen people riding bikes like the SCR. It always amazes me that there's always one guy that rides months past most people would.

I remember seeing a Honda Africa Twin ride by me.
