I got the Yamaha Bolt windshield and mounts and put them in today. I got it Dince this is my in town commuter bike, and I ride in the cold a lot. It’s not exactly a big windshield but it may help a little.

Helps when cold air isn't stripping away your body heat and it looks pretty large from what I see. Heated grips will go a long way as well.

Actually I'm in the middle of installing the Yamaha Universal Heated grips. They fit perfectly and look great!! I only put them on last night and I'll wire the rest of it up today or tomorrow. :) I'm not in any rush cause I don't have a seat right now. lol I guess I could just throw on a 2x4. probably be more comfortable.

I never loved heated grips. Roasting palms and freezing knuckles just don't work for me. I found that heated gloves work pretty okay for the most part, but are bulky and often have hotspots. What works best for me are hand guards to keep the wind off my hands, and a heated vest to keep my core nice and toasty. That has done more for me than heated grips, gloves, or socks could ever hope to achieve.

Charles.

I actually ordered some Hand Guards that I think are coming in tomorrow. Not sure if they are going to work, so I guess we'll see. the first set I ordered weren't going to work at all. If they do I'll share of course.

Would be curious to see how they look. I was thinking about adding some Hand Gaurds as well

Here’s what I got for Hand Guards. I can’t find my pics for the heated grips, but I started a thread for that one I believe in electronics.

Sorry Bryan my mistake. The heated grips are in this section for parts and accessories.
Here’s what I got for Hand Guards. .
Those look really nice. Glad you shared that.
I like those hand guards a lot, but I don't like the mounting. I think it'd be better mounting on the mirror mount, that way no need to move the master cylinder. I can't move the master because I have shorty levers on mine, and moving it will cause the lever to contact the throttle housing.

Charles.
Yeah. The mounting isn’t exactly ideal. I put some shortys on mine also. I rotated the throttle housing a little to accommodate a little better and it seems alright. Not sure if I’m really happy with it or not at this point. We’ll see after a while.
Windshield Applycation

I was wondering if you had any dificulties applying the windshield? I installed the supports and tried to apply the windshield and it seem to me that I will have to force it in. Any comments?

Yeah a little bit. Had to use a little force on it. I haven’t taken it off since putting it on though.
